Alanod-Westlake Metals - Fact Sheet
Westlake Metals was founded in 1974 as a general line aluminum service center. Since that date, the facility has grown into one of the premier locations for processing light gauge surface critical materials.
In the late 1990s, Westlake Metals entered into a partnership with Alanod to produce the company’s reflective material for the lighting industry. The partnership was a success for both entities, and in 2007 Alanod purchased a controlling interest in the facility and changed its name to Alanod-Westlake Metals.
Now, the partners have installed a state-of-the-art dedicated laser welding line at this Northeast Ohio facility as the next evolution in the partnership. This combination of Swiss machinery with German engineered absorber technology and Midwestern-manufacturing expertise will enable a new generation of high performance solar thermal systems.
